Twisted’s maiden race was the classic 88 mile Spinnaker Cup from San Francisco YC to Monterey Peninsula YC. Fresh out of the box the Twisted team took third in PHRF 1 in a 16 boat fleet. Thanks to Peter Lyons (www.lyonsimaging.com) for this great shot of the team hiking on the way out under the Golden Gate Bridge. Twisted will be heading south in Coastal Cup and joining us for Long Beach Race Week. Gotta love the beauty and wind racing on SF Bay – looking forward to Rolex Big Boat Series when we get to see the first Farr 40 one design classes on the bay since 2004.

Down south, Temptress was hoisting the broom with a clean sweep – first to finish, first in class, first overall – in the annual Around Catalina race sponsored by Cabrillo Beach YC and Dana Point YC. Temptress beat the SC50 Horizon to the finish line by three seconds. The 75 mile race was over for Temptress just after midnight. Typical of the good nature of our fleet, White Knight was still in the yard, so Tosh Neminsky lent his boat Ohana to the White Knight crew so they could compete in the race out of their home yacht club.
