A nice fleet of six Farr 40′s headed south to Ensenada for a second consecutive year of slow racing. The afternoon following the start was mostly a delightful spinnaker reach toward the Mexican border, but overnight things got pretty light. Winning strategy turned out to be approximately 8 miles off the Coronados contrary to the predictions of the weather forecasters who said there would be an offshore during the morning hours that never materialized. Congratulations to the crew of Far Niente as the winners of the annual run South!
