A nice fleet of six Farr 40’s headed south to Ensenada for a second consecutive year of slow racing.¬†The afternoon following the start was mostly a delightful spinnaker reach toward the Mexican border, but overnight things got pretty light.¬†Winning strategy turned out to be approximately 8 miles off the Coronados contrary to the predictions of the weather forecasters who said there would be an offshore during the morning hours that never materialized.¬†Congratulations to the crew of Far Niente as the winners of the annual run South!
